Rick Galvan

Senior Vice President, Greenbrier Rail Services

Rick Galvan has 30 years of experience in the railroad industry. He joined Greenbrier in 2019 and is currently Senior Vice President of Greenbrier Rail Services (GRS), the Company’s railcar maintenance, wheels and parts business unit.

Before joining Greenbrier, Galvan was Chief Mechanical Officer at Canadian National Railway (CN) from 2013-2019. From 2008 to 2013, he held various leadership roles at Kansas City Southern (KCS), most recently as General Manager of Mechanical International. He also held multiple positions of increasing responsibility at Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) from 1990-2006.

Galvan has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from University of Phoenix and an Executive MBA from University of Missouri-Kansas City.
